Aurora College functions as a normal High School with set lesson times, teachers and students, the difference being students attend lessons using the latest in technology to connect to their virtual classrooms. Students from Coolamon Central use a specialist technology room to attend their subject classes of English, Maths and Science. They are supported by a dedicated teacher who co-ordinates and liaises with Aurora College. Once a semester students will attend a residential school which provides opportunities for students to participate in face to face lessons and Science practicals.
For an opportunity to become a part of Aurora College students are required to sit a selection test which is held across the state every year. Interested students and parents can contact the Aurora Co-ordinator at Coolamon Central School for more information.
